Biography
Dr.Jacob completed his Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine in 2005. He furthered his clinical and research education by earning his Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine degree from Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in 2014. He has 10 years of clinical experience running a successful private practice. Dr. Godwin practices acupuncture based on evidence-based physiological models and is a strong advocate for the development of these models. He has also published on the importance of research-literacy and evidence-based medicine for acupuncturists. Dr. Godwin brings a passion for science and research to his role as Vice-President of the American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and as the founding chairperson of the AAAOM Acupuncture Science and Research Committee. He sees science and research as a way forward for the profession, a way that will ensure a future for acupuncture that is just as impressive as its past.
